These distinctions
are coming to salute the accomplishments
of Chief winemaker Jean-Pierre Vincent and
his team, particularly for the private collection
of Grands Crus launched in France in 2001
and for Nicolas Feuillatte’s Palmes
d’Or, a prestige cuvée honored
many times since its creation in 1985.
If in 2003, Nicolas Feuillatte's prestige
cuvées were the ones mostly awarded,
the Brut Premier Cru was the one acclaimed
in 2001 with a Silver Medal and in 2002
with the “Grand Prix d’Exellence.”
These results show the diversity and variety
of the range of champagnes produced by Nicolas
Feuillatte. They come thanks to a grape
supply coming from more than 4000 acres
of land, representing every single cru and
vineyard expression available in the champagne
appellation, produced by 4500 vinegrowers,
partners of the Centre Vinicole –
Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte.
This year again, the French Union of Oenologists,
through Vinalies Internationales, gathered
113 of the best international tasting experts
in order to find the best wines produced
worldwide. 31 wine producing countries sent
in their wines, and 2028 wines were judged.
