HIGY is a firm with its roots in Alsace, based in Mulhouse since it was started in 1922. Fernand Higy was the company's founder and originated the recipe for Melfor, a unique product on the vinegar market. Now, the company is run by Bernard and Daniel Higy, the founder's grandsons.

It is through their efforts that Melfor is now popular in the whole France... and arrives officially on the US market.

  

 

 
 
MELFOR
Melfor is used like other vinegars - but is far more than a vinegar. It is a condiment based of alcohol vinegar, honey and an infusion of plants known since immemorial times. In Eastern France, more than 8 out of 10 homes use it regularly.

It is the ideal seasoning for salads and crudités and the perfect base for a good vinaigrette dressing. It has a mildly sharp, well balanced taste.
